What stories can I use for kids?
Honestly, when it comes to kids, you don’t need anything fancy. Just pick stories that make them giggle, wonder, or ask questions. Sometimes, I use the old classics - Cinderella, Jack and the Beanstalk, that sort of thing. Other times, I go for animal tales like The Tortoise and the Hare or The Lion and the Mouse.
If I want to slip in a lesson, The Boy Who Cried Wolf works like magic. For bedtime, short and calming stories are best - something they can drift off to, like Goodnight Moon.
And here’s a secret: kids love it when you make up stories on the spot. Please give them a talking dog, a rainbow slide, or a flying bicycle, and you’ve got their attention.
Old folktales like the Panchatantra or Aesop’s Fables are also gold—they’ve been around for centuries for a reason. The “best” story is just the one that makes their eyes light up.
